No WIFI connection

My Heater Meter ver 4.2.4 has works great for a number of years, but recently I have not been able to connect to my wifi. The Ralink RT 5370 adapter indicator light never flashes. Wired ethernet connection works fine.

What I have tried are:
New Ralink RT 5370 adapter
Installed v15 firmware on new SD card
Different power supply

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You can try what others have tried with various wifi devices when that happens:

  • Deleting the device from the app, then add it back in
  • go to router settings and turned the 2.4Ghz option off and back on again.
  • Connected to the 2.4Ghz (or 5) connection in phone's wifi settings
  • Then go to the thermo app, in the thermometer wifi settings, connect to the 2.4Ghz (or 5) connection.

Not always successful but primarily it's to start from scratch (as if it's the FIRST time).
