Found a person selling this locally and will be taking a look and buying tonight. Listed as a 24" version and has wood handles...$45.00. Should be able to clean it up and bit and enjoy. Comes with 2 grates, charcoal baskets and the tools .. :)

Well I just got home with it. Grill itself is in great shape with just a tad of rust on the rivet on top vent and a little on spots on the legs. No dents, rust or hardly any nicks in top or bowl. The upper cooking grates and warming rack are all good shape with no rust and she cleaned them up a bit. The charcoal grate has some rust but nothing a wire brush wont take care of and the charcoal bins are a bit rusty with one in worst shape then the other. Wooden handles need to be refinished but not cracked or anything and everything as far as ash catcher and ash pusher are in great shape with no rust and move free.. Will pick some cleaner up tomorrow and do the inside of the body but I`m happy with my 45.00 CL find. It will go good with my OTG.
She did mention she got flooded with calls and texts on this and I was the first one to actually call and talk with her and that sealed the deal for her ...Glad I did.

Its a EE stamp on the lid vent so it looks to be a 1999 model?

I got it cleaned up very well today. Took the handles off and am planning on sanding them a little bit and sealing them or oiling them. The warming rack is rust free but the grates have a little speckling but nothing major. The charcoal bins are good and cleaned up well also. Just need to get the cap for the front leg and put wood handles back on and its good to go. The whole inside came clean like its new except for the charcoal grate that is a bit rusty.

I'm happy with the money spent :)

Great job on the clean-up, Mike. Just to add a bit more to your plate.... Those legs & ash ring/pan will also shine up real nice. I work my way though sandpaper from 100/150/220/320/400 grit and finish off with 0000 steel wool for a better-than-new shine. Really makes the entire grill pop. :)

Same with the ash ring/pan (this took me about an hour)

PS --- if you have any of the 1 pound disposable propane cylinders, the little white cap that comes on them is a direct fit for a front leg cap.

Thanks for the great info and I might look into doing that on the pan. I may have a cylinder laying around so I will look and see. If not I found them for 33c on web if I order other parts.

Mike you can also call Weber customer service and they'll send you one gratis. They did for me on a little 18" I picked up.
