Good info Patrick. I wonder how the "Best" Spirits will compare to the lower level Genesis grills.

I think so. It might help top scratching of the paint from getting the tank in and out and maybe hold back some of the moisture. I noticed in the picture that @Patrick Loughrey posted it also looks like maybe the bottom cabinet piece - which is always the first to rust out - has some kind of textured treatment. Hopefully, another rust preventative and evidence that Weber is at last trying to do at least something to reduce cabinet rust.

Yes, the paint in the base looks thick - see a close up attached. This is great for the UK as none of us are too far from the ocean!

I like that insert for the tank holder. Also the bottom looks like the same finish of the steel tables on the newer performers with the steel table. So that should help a lot with the bottom panel rusting!
