"Dry run of my new toy before Thanksgiving, couple of bone in chicken breasts cooked at 325ish, hung directly over the coals.

I'd love to share some after pics but might've had one totty too much.

Sooooo delicious, the chicken was tasty too.
 
It really was good, just got the Pit Barrel Cooker hooks to use with the turkey. I'll probably play around with the hanger and a pork loin this week, taking the water pan out seemed to make a big difference in the cook although I had trouble keeping temp @ 325.
 
i have a similar (homemade) rig for my WSM. I like the ease of cooking and cleanup...no racks to soak.
and dont feel bad about skipping the after pix....been there , done that. Got the T-shirt.

I believe the best accessory Weber makes for the WSM is the Expandable Cooking Rack. It takes the WSM to the next level. I love mine.
 
Josh congrats on the new toy I'm sure you will have lots of great cooks coming from that. Your bourbon reminds me when we have Wild Turkey 101 that's good stuff too.
