So because of http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?64690-Rotisserie-ring-question&p=718698#post718698 that thread, i was able to find a budget friendly alternative Rotisserie Ring. Ordered the 22.5 version for right about $70 shipped from amazon w/ prime. It came on Friday and Sunday I was finally able to put it together and fire it up!
Quality seemed up to par to me. My only negative is when placed on my 22.5 kettle, there is a little bit of a gap between the ring and the kettle. I'm sure a little bit of aluminum foil would do the trick. I haven't tried it on the WSM yet to see how it fits so we'll see about that at a later date.
For the inaugural spin I threw a pork belly on the spit and let her rip! I came out about an hour and a half later and noticed the spit wasn't spinning and saw it was because it came out from the motor, i guess i didn't push it in hard enough to lock it in. So the middle part of the belly got a little darker than the rest, but overall I was damn pleased w/ the results. Tasty pork belly and more importantly CRISPY CRUNCHY CRACKLY SKIN!!
