Hello out there. I have an early Genesis 1000. Just recently the fire started going out after I close the lid. My burner tubes are clear and I open the regulator slowly so the gas flow should not be restricted. The grill will stay lit if I have the lid cracked about an inch. I plan to take the manifold off to blow it out. Any other suggestions?

Hi Bob,

Welcome. You might want to post in the gas grills forum. Pics of the burners and underside of the control panel might help.

good luck.
