Just got home with a 1991 'N' code 3 wheeler. It's in decent shape, missing one vent cover and handles. In '91 were the handles still wood or were they plastic by then?
I plan to get it cleaned up on the 4th and light a fire

Here's a link to the ad as long as it stays up but I'll get some pictures next week.

Man, wish you were closer - I have a 1999 model (wood handles, "3-wheeler" in better shape - for less than what you paid here. Has the original wood handles that are in terrific shape.

But to answer your question, the wood handles continued at least through 1999 - perhaps a few years more? I'm pretty sure there's overlap in production of the wood and plastic handles.

Yes W, this is purely anecdotal, but I have a 99 with wood handles, and a 2000 with plastic handles. If I had to pick a tranition date, I would use 2000.

Do you want to sell it?
