Hope this hasn't been posted. I searched for 7402 and only old threads came up.

I just saw this vid posted 13 days ago.

Apparently, this part had been around for a while but was discontinued and has now come back. Here are some older threads.

I've never heard of them but they appear to be a useful accessory.

I still have mine in a tote in the garage. I bought them for my old daisy wheel kettle back in the 90's.
Also purchased the tool accessory rack and condiment shelf.

Our Charcoal Rails never went away. There was a retail version (part # 7402) that was recently discontinued, but there's always been a replacement part version (part # 65938) and it's still available. Currently, it's can only be purchased through our Consumer Care call center at 1-800-446-1071. We did replace the Char-Baskets included in our Master-Touch models with Char-Rails a year or two ago. Char-Rails allow for more dynamic fuel configurations/setups and better airflow to the coals, but the drawback is you can't easily move them while grilling. That said, our studies showed not that many people actually move Char-Baskets while grilling.

I used those for decades! I have a pair in the garage somewhere. My stepson gifted me a set of the “SuperDuty” 304SS baskets several years ago which were an upgrade from the factory baskets that I moved to the kettle at the cottage. My other baskets are in my dedicated roti kettle.
The rails are really useful, I’m considering getting a set just to have on hand when the roti baskets die.
