I have read about all these craigslist "deals", but could never find one in my area until now. I got this Red Performer today for $40.00.

All the original parts, burner works, a few dings and a little dirty, but I always wanted a red one!
Can't wait to clean it up and cook on it this weekend.....
 
I believe it was the day after I found this site that I started looking at craigslist once a day....Just what I needed, another addiction..
Great find, take photos of the restore for us.
 
That's what happened to me. Craigslist twice a day since I discovered this site.....turned out to be worth it

Oh yeah, then theres the few black freebies.
But the real score is the free 26er
I know I left a few out..
2 Brownies in the same day for $15 each.
Brand new black 3 wheeler..in the box.
Its gonna be a busy winter..real busy..Lol..
 
For those of you guys with Android phones - and probably iPhones - there is an app called CraigsNotify that allows you to specify key words (Weber, Primo, Big Green Egg, etc) and the Craigslist markets you want to search and the app polls CL every few minutes and notifies you with an icon in the toolbar if there is a hit.

This has allowed me to get to a couple of good deals before others, but we just don't get a lot of CL activity on Webers in this area. Most people who own them cook on em for a long time!

Where I live, I have seen NOTHING on Craigslist to date.
Type in grills, and you get a few auto parts.
Weber, nothing really coming up.
Smokers, one old $3000. electric smoker.
But I keep looking.
Now, if You don't have time for all the work to restore all those grills..............................
 
AJ, give yourself an open hand slap across the left side of your face for me please! I have found ONE on craigslist in my area.

AJ, group them all together and get a photo!!

i also use craigslist notifier. my phone alerts me within a few minutes of grills getting posted.

luckily my area doesn't have as many as AJ's area

AJ...its well documented that your area is a hotbed for cool colored grills and unusual stuff. Many times these rare grills are listed for free! You have it made!
 
Yeah, I know everyone wants pics! Most of them need rehabbing in a big way.
As for rare stuff, all the really old stuff hasn't come out of hiding..
