New grillbuddy

We just completed our road trip to northern IN to get our new Golden Irish, after losing Molly, our 12 yo golden to cancer in February. This new pup is 8 weeks old, a silly sweetheart, and hopefully a great grillbuddy.

Gorgeous pup! Worth repeating what I told myself after losing Dante in Jan. The time to get a new dog is when the hole in your heart is overwhelmed by the emptiness in your life. Congrats!

That pup is adorable, sure looks like a great grilling buddy to me. Barb and I know the pain of saying goodbye to a fury family member, done that way too many times. I always say no more dogs. The problem is we always have two dogs and when one goes over the rainbow bridge. We see the sadness in the one left behind. So, we always break down and get another companion for the remaining pup. We don't do it for us but for the pup.... yeah right.

First that I have heard of Golden Irish. He looks happy to have found you......

Back when, we had a big Irish Setter (true red coloring) that was built like a Golden with long legs. Weighed 95 lbs and we namohim Conor. His breeder said his stock was the original Irish Setter breed before they started breeding for slender and rangy. Absolutely beautiful -- you may have a treasure!
