New Genesis II E-310 ... saying goodbye to my '98 Genesis 1000

Well, after over a decade and two rebuilds on my 1998 Genesis 1000, I decided to spring for a new Genesis II E-310. While I know these aren't "new"and have been out for quite some time, I was a fan of the throwback design with the open cart and the traditional drip pan and tank mount like the older Genesis models we know and love. I was not terribly impressed with the newest Genesis line... the closed cart design and the price tag, primarily.

It cooks fantastic, and I am very happy with my purchase. Lowes and Home Depot do not sell these new anymore, but I was happy to find that Ace Hardware stocks them. I wonder if this was a decision by Weber to move out the new models through the big box stores (for more $$ of course) and let the smaller, regional retailers continue to sell out the older generation. The date on my box said 9/1/2022, so it had been in their stock for a while. As of last weekend, they had six in stock, now five since I bought mine. I got this for $649.00 so I think that was a pretty good deal, considering the new 3-burner Genesis models start at $999.00.

Which leads me to my old Genesis 1000... any interested takers? It's complete, minus the tank hanger. It was rebuilt in 2017, but could use a good cleaning and probably new burners. It has stainless grates and flavorizer bars. The Weber emblem needs to be reattached, but I do have it. I refinished that too, and it looks brand new. I can take more pics for anyone who may be interested.
