New Cookbox

Received new cookbox from weber for 03 genesis silver b grill. Should I just
install or prior to install spray on a coat of high heat grill paint?

NO, if it is a new cook box, just install it as is. The coating weber uses is much better than HH grill paint. 15 years down the road, then, yah, maybe you will want to repaint it.

Why did they send you a new cook box?

My old cookbox was slightly warped, I asked, took pics, received cookbox. I was
pleasantly surprised.
 
Good for Weber. Not bad for a grill almost 20 years old. How is the rest of the grill holding up?

Grill is holding up very well. Did a good cleaning last summer and I noticed cookbox.
I never did get a chance to install, spring around the corner will put new cookbox to use.
Stand holding up very well, very small spot of rust all else very good. These grills are
almost bullet proof, very well made, simple design. They cook great I hope to get
another ten years of good grilling.
