The much better solution imo is to use a picnic cooler to address lack of fridge and/or freezer space.

Especially because you can use the same one cooler for a quick water bath defrost, or the multi day slow dry defrost, or for brining too. And for defrosting non turkey items too.

For specifically turkey, the Igloo sideline drink cooler is the absolutely perfect tool.

On the VERY rare occasion I would cook a bird (buzzard) I buy the fresh organic ones at Costco. No solutions no injections just cold dead buzzard

Just goes to show you alot of people aren't savy when it comes to defrosting or cooking a turkey, just look at the Butterball Turkey hotline.
It gets overloaded on T-day.
