I have a 1997 Weber Performer and my ash catcher bar has rusted out and I am in need of a replacement. I tried Weber and they said that part is discontinued and I would need to buy the new bottom bowl and new ash catcher off the newer year performers.

Can anyone help me or does anyone have a new one that I can purchase from them?

Thank you for your help. This forum is a great resource and I have learned so much from it.

Hey Mac,

thank you for replying. I am talking about #22. Mine is rusted out from ash sitting on it. Is it possible to buy a newer ash catcher and make it work with my bottom?

Yes, if the "Leg" mounts are solid. You'll have to get a new Ash Catcher Ring, Weber part no. 63036, and use a Dremel Tool with a cutting disk to cut slots for the tabs on the new Ring. You might have to replace the "One Touch" parts too. Those usually can be found at OSH. Good luck and keep us updated with your progress.
