My Klose Pit is almost ready

I just got word from Dave that my 24" x 60" backyard pit is almost finished. They just have to finish painting it, then season it and tune it. Dave should be delivering it just after the Jack Daniels cookoff, around October 29th or 30th. He has another pit to deliver to North Carolina on the same trip. Mine will go in the back of his truck and he will pull the mobile. 2 more weeks !! Now I am excited.

That's great. You'll love it!
Make sure and let us know how your first cook turns out! Although I really enjoy my WSM, it's hard to beat a Klose pit. It's a lot more work but it is VERY rewarding.

Dave just told me they are seasoning and tuning my pit and that it looks great!! The other pit delivery to NC was cancelled, but mine is still on schedule. (maybe even sooner). He said he will try to take some pictures of it tomorrow and email them to me. If he does I will post them ASAP. O Boy!!
