My first Smoke! (Chris' sweet salmon)

Hey all. After begging, asking, complaining, whining, and sucking it up for a year, I was finally gifted with the 18" WSM a couple weeks ago for our one year anniversary! Needless to say I'm very excited.

Got my first smoke in over the 4th and took some pics that I thought I'd share in case anyone is interested.

Mr Lampe, I enjoy your pics, so hopefully you'll enjoy some of mine, especially as I get better.

Oh, about the smoke. Tried the "dinner-style" salmon in the Cooking Topics section. I thought it was super tasty. Wife and sis-n-law thought it was too sweet. Next time I'll try the smokier, less sweet, version. Still yummy though!

Oh, someone please tell me if the pics loaded. The only other forum I belong to hosts all it's own pics for the last 5 years or so, so it's been a while since I used imageshack or other.

My wife, knowing I wanted one for a very long time, was determined to get me one that day. Everywhere was sold out so she pre-paid for one at either Ace or True Value Hardware (can't recall).

I, being the kind and supportive man that I am, had her get her money back and order off of Amazon, through our site. It was cheaper, and the site got the credit!

Do I get bonus points for this???

i have been looking for a salmon post for a while now - u make my day - and being someone who just started 2wks ago - u give me courage to try the salmon.
i have done ribs 2x - st louis and jerk - people liked the jerk more - i think they like is salty

then beer butt chicken but Tandoori Indian style, looked amazing all RED and all

people are demanding fish now - so i will try it next with less sugar - THANKS for your post
