Andy you need to re-host the photo using photobucket, imgur or similar. You can't post directly from your facebook posts.

You kind of can - I did for a while but they would only show on certain browsers. I'd just right-click then select "copy image location" and use that.
Now I'm using google photos, but it's a pain because first I have to copy the pictures from my phone (or camera), then upload them to photos.google.com, then open the picture, then click on the share button & select "get sharable link", then go to that location, then expand the picture, & then copy the picture, & then paste it in my post here!
I know I make things too difficult, I'd sure like to an easier way to store & manage all my pics...and not have to pay. Maybe an onsite NAS would be the ticket... Facebook was easy but too quirky.

The absolute easiest way to do this is to get an imgur plugin for your browser. Then you can right-click any image in your browser and host it on imgur which will give you a permanent, direct link to the image itself right on your clipboard.
