Mounting a thermistor in a Weber kettle grill

Hi all,

I have a couple of Maverick probes. I want to mount one permanently in the Weber as the pit temperature monitor, and the other will be placed in food during cooks.

What's the best way to fix a Maverick probe inside a kettle grill, with the cable outside? I couldn't find a thermistor with a thread that would let me bolt it into place, so I have a standard ET-73 chamber probe.

Thanks in advance,

I install and remove my Mav (probes and all) each time I cook. If you don't have the clip that came with the Mav you can use a small potatoe, piece of wood, radish, etc. The probes are notorious for being sensitive to moisture so I keep them inside. I have a slit cut in the top lip of the center section to run the wire thru.

Thanks - that looks like it might be a better solution for me.

I don't have the clip because I bought the probes separately for my own Arduino solution, but I'll see if I can find one on eBay :)
