mop sauce question

I'm going to try this recipe and follow as close as possible. I have most of what I need except the distilled white vinegar... I do have white wine vinegar. Would you make that substitution in the mop sauce recipe?

White wine vinegar is much milder than distilled vinegar, so if you substitute you would not have as much of the strong, sharp vinegar taste. I buy distilled vinegar by the gallon cheap and it seems to last a long time. Apple cider vinegar might be a “closer” sub, but in a pinch I wouldn’t hesitate to use white wine vinegar (spoken from similar experience).
