Mod to hold Maverick thermometer on WSM

Have any of you made something to hold the Maverick thermom to the WSM? I'm about to order one for the WSM I just got, and was thinking of some sort of magnet on the back of it, but would probably get to hot.

Or do yall just lay it on the ground?

Lay it on the ground..........NO =) Too many things can happen to it.
There are many ways of doing it .
Here is one way to hold controlers/thermometers.

I hang mine on the horizontal handles on my mid section. Soon I will put it on my shelf in the late stage of process, hanging from a tab of some sort. I saw a post somewhere, don't recall who, that had a piece of wood attached to the mid section and attached the mav to it, maybe by magnets or velcro, the wood acting as a heat barrier.......................d

It has a wire stand which can be flipped and used as a hook.
When hooked on the lip of the mid-section, the lid (when set) pushes it out from the body about an inch or so.

I usually put an old joint compound bucket next to the cooker, and put my CyberQ WiFi or ET-732 on top of it.
