Mod for top vent cap (for shielding rain)?

I can make it rain by starting a fire in my 22 WSM. I own an EZ_UP canopy but it is a pain to set up. If I get an afternoon shower, which is common in Tomball Texas, I take the lid off my Weber Master Touch and set it on top the WSM lid. So far the wind has never interfered.

Wow I never thought that this post would get so much attention. That is a brilliant idea I now just have to find the right lid to fit . Hands down would never have thought of that.

Wel it has hardly affected it all day I've been out twice for a tinker and once was to wrap it. Full ring of coals and a 1/2 chimney and a lump of apple wood and it's still going strong and it's wet cold and windy. These wsm are so easy to use

I know it's running a bit hot but the lid probe is saying it's a lot lower
