These are questions!
Load 1 side with 1 chimney of charcoal? I see some people use fire bricks to hold charcoal to one side.

How do you start just 4 or 5 briquettes? Start a 1/3 chimney and pull 4 or 5?

Sammy,just light a few coals. You can either count out 4 or 5,or you can dump out a single layer in the chimney. Then put the lit on top of unlit. As much as you need. HTH

For small amounts you can either turn the chimney over, or remove the grate and reverse it inside of your chimney.
