Milestone - no alarms

Hmm. I must be doing something right. I put a butt on last night around 10, watched it on the Maverick for an hour or two and went to bed. I was pleasently suprised to get a full nights sleep with no alarms at all. I got up at 6, and the meat was 174, and the cooker was still at 256. It was great!
I have to admit that I hit the light on the Maverick a couple of times just to make sure the numbers were changing.

For loin backs, and brisket I go to Costco in Colchester. For butts, I go to Hannaford in Essex Jct. You have to get the butcher to give you the cryopac, as they usually hack up the ones on display. They get $1.69 a lb, and is the best price around here.
Both as real close to me ... within 20 minutes. A little far for you though
