Hey all!
My name is Mike, and I live in the Charleston, SC area. I've been a Weber Kettle fan for about 20 years, after selling my first kettle before moving here and buying another as soon as I had yard space.
I'm seriously glad I found this forum, after doing a search online for where I could find the old Grill Out Times newsletters, and finding Bruce Bisonette's Chicken Thighs technique (double up on the second one, especially tonight!)
Anyways, great forum, and hopefully I'll be able to contribute some small way.
Right now, I'm using a Weber One touch 22.5", Experimenting with Kamado Joe Argentinian charcoal (so far, very impressed) and a hinged cooking grate.
Thanks again for having me!

Welcome to another South Carolinian. Tell us more about Bruce Bisonette's Chicken Thighs technique. (A quick search didn't return anything meaningful.)

Hey! Sorry it took so long for the reply.
Here's the link to Bruce's post about the technique. Took a while for me to find it again too. http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?31345-Chicken-Thighs-on-Weber-Kettle&highlight=thighs
It worked great for me, but only thing I would say is that monitoring your grill temp for the first 5 minutes of the cook might be a good idea. Following his instructions for venting, my grill was still a little too hot, and had to close the top vent a little to achieve the right temp.

Yeah Mike - I just moved here from NC in January. Downsized to a smaller home with only a single story (slab on grade). Why did you leave HH?

Welcome Mike, and looking forward to seeing some cooks. Always nice to see new cooks joining the forum and sharing there recipes.
