Put together a pretty tasty meal tonight. Bone in double breast skin on chicken with a mushroom, sauerkraut, and chorizo pierogi and grilled zucchini.
Marinated zucchini with olive oil, lime, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and super fresh garlic.
Marinate for about an hour before the grill. Finished with a sprinkle of Parmesan.
Chicken on the performer with JD lump cooking about 560 indirect.
That performer is a little fireball with dome temps closing in at 600.
Fried pierogi with sour creme.
Had a new bbq sauce. Big sid’s Carolina gold.....a delicious spicy mustard based treat.
When I was done eating I threw out the rest of my mustard based bbq sauces.
This is the one.
Felt like I made so many mistakes tonight but it came out very good.
A few pics to show it off a bit.

Thanks for stopping by.....its not a real impressive cook.
Tasted way better than it looked....
The breast was perfect....took it off at 159, rested for about 10 minutes.
Perfect texture and juicy.
Zucchini was different, its now in season so I will experiment with different takes on that, but the spear cut on it was great.
I still cannot get over the sauce.
My bbq sauce selection is limited to 2, its simple...you don't need a fridge with 4 open sauces and then that's just too many to choose from
So I have kept it limited to 2 different sauces....
This one is so good it will be taking over my sweet sauce which is heavily flavored with black pepper.
It will sit proudly beside the killer hogs vinegar sauce in my fridge.
If you have seen the BIG SID'S product line I would recommend this obviously as well as their steak spice.
Its unique, where most others taste exactly the same....I threw out my other steak spices and only use this and Oakridge.
I was so reluctant to buy the steak spice because they all taste the same that my butcher threw it at me and said take it home and try it.
I have purchased about 8 more since and got co workers hooked on it too.
My butcher keeps telling me to buy the BIG SID'S brisket rub.....I keep not buying it, maybe he will toss one of those to me too??
