Mav 732 probes with BBQ guru grommets

I was going to order the guru grommets then I noticed the note on their website that says the probes on the Mav 732 are to big and wont fit through them. Does anyone know if their actual diameter is too big for the opening or is it a combination of diameter and the curve of the probe. IF the temp probe was straight would it fit through???

the curve in the probe is what causes the problem. get the grommets from the cajun bandit and all will be good again.

I was under the impression you have to drill the whole out bigger with the Cajun Bandit.

If by drilling the hole out bigger you mean the current hole that is already on a WSM then NO, you do not want to do that. If you use the larger sized grommets from the cajun bandit then you would drill a seperate set of holes to install them.

The 2 size grommets that Cajun Bandits sells are 1/4" and 3/8". They tell you on the site that if you have a Maverick ET 732 to order the larger ones. I'm expecting my grommets along with their SS door this next week.
