Hi I'm Matt 28 year old griller from the reading area. Bought my weber (older genesis not sure which) 4years ago on cragslist. It was only $75 and I knew I always wanted a weber. Everyone said I was crazy for refurbing it. I wish I found this fourm before I started (probably did a few things wrong) I'm just glad there is a community that shares my love for webers like I do! Would love to upload photos but not sure how?(on a phone not sure if that hinders anything?) Thanks so much for this great community!
 
Welcome to the forum Matt. I love my 96 Genesis. My wife is making dinner on it as I type. She thought I was nuts for getting it and rehabbing it but now she would not give it up. See the link in red for posting pics. Looking forward to seeing your pics and posts.

Welcome Matt from a Matt. Everything Weber is where you are! Sounds like you found a home. Get ready to be inspired, It caught me like disease.
 
Look on the underside of the control panel for the serial number. With that Weber will give you the exact year and model as well as register the grill to you.
