Mapp gas instead of propane for performer?

I have cylinders of mapp gas on hand for my torch for lighting my primo. I notice the manual says to only use propane. Anyone know a good reason not to use it other than the manual says propane only? this is the stuff im refering too. mapp

Mapp burns hotter so i'd say give her a go, unless for some reason the Performer can't handle it.

I tried it, seems to work fine. I dont have a propane cylnder to compare it to but i cant see a reason myself not to use it. Just wanted more peoples input on it. I may ask weber when i call to ask for my axle that wasnt in the box....

yep burns hotter and is more $$$$$. you will be ok.
