Maple Cayenne Ribs- again I know, but...

They are my favorite and an easy party hit! Too bad my Gators got waxed, at least the food was good!
Was in a hurry to start so my temp wasn't settled quite right when I put them on. I was getting crazy readings from the Maverick too so I just went off of lid temp mostly. Its a cheaper model I got as a gift and has worked great until now- time to upgrade!
Finished just shy of 4 hours and were just a hair of a hair overdone in my book but got lots of smiles from our group of friends who came over to watch the game.
Had quite a bit of old ash in the bottom, which ended up affecting airflow towards the end of the cook. Anyone else have an issue with their charcoal grate interfering with their air vent tabs?:wsm22:

Glad the ribs brightened your teams loss! They sure look and sound good. My Maverick did the same thing a while back. New probe fixed it.

Great looking ribs. Like Cliff said more than likely a bad probe I've had two of them go south on me. My maverick is about 4 or 5 years old and still working fine.

Ribs look great, I'm sure they were the hit of the party. Sorry about your team but you had some great food to help with the loss.
