Was just reading the ingredients list of a bag of rub at a local market and noticed malto as an ingredient high on the list.

I use malto in homebrewing for the purpose of mouthfeel but cant figure out why this would be an ingredient in a rub since it is tasteless and odorless. Anyone have an idea?

Jim,
It kinda explains it, it is bascially used as a drying agent. At least that is what I got out of it. So basically kinda used to prevent caking and moisture of the rub.
