Have any of you ever used this brand of lump? Have not been able to locate any info on it in any of the charcoal data bases I have looked at. A local store has it for $4.97/10#

I saw some at a specialty meat store. It was too $$$$$ ($15 for 20# bag).

Didn't buy any, but I wonder if it's made by the same people that do the lump for Fresh Market?

I found it in my local shoprite for $4.99/10# I bought two bags on a whim and I am now in the process of firing my WSM. It is all chunk, no mill ends, better than cowboy. As I recall the pieces are chunkier than Wicked Good Competition was. It went off like fireworks when I held a mapp gas torch to it, not unexpected. So far so good, Using the minion method and a stoker, I put a partially lit 1/4 chimney into my WSM and a half hour later it is up to 180 degrees.

Mali is my regular brand. I get it for about $6 for a 10lbs bag. Not the best I've ever used, but it is good stuff.

Hi Ken,
Your German potatoe salad recipe sounds like my mothers, without the lettuce. I make my own sausage using HI MOUNTAIN SAUSAGE SEASONINGS. I have my own grinder I purchased from them for $100 about 5years ago.All I purchased was some new cutting blades. It still runs great. Thanks for the Landjaeger when I saw you last a few years ago.Hope all is well! Give me a holler.
Dave
