Making sure I don't blow anyone up

So, about to finish assembling the Genesis 1000 and I am naturally(?) paranoid about making sure everything functions properly and I don’t kill anyone.

Is there anything else I need to check here to ensure no leaks and all is functioning properly?

I got it to fire up right away and had flame.

It’s all original outside of the new igniter from OnlyFire.

Just being as cautious as possible.

I know soapy water isn’t fool proof (with the control panel off) I like to liberally spray where the valves go into manifold, and the fittings from the manifold to the tank, turn the tank on get all the burners lit, and shut it off.

I’ve yet to have smells or bubbles.

Good luck!

you can use a leak detector. I have one like this. There are many avail in the $20 +/- price range that I've heard work well. Mine works great.

One time I used it to isolate a NG leak at a clothes dryer connection at a friends house. The gas smell started after a new dryer was installed. All the connections appeared to have been done properly yet there was a faint smell of NG a few hours later. They tested with soapy water and found nothing. I brought the leak detector and found the brand-new valve was defective and leaking out through the handle. The valve was like the one below. I don't' think I could have found it just using soapy water testing.
