Making igniter hole in MT bowl for SSP refurb?

I just did this! I swapped out a rusty bowl with a Limited Edition Red Kettle. I used a step drill bit and a Dremel.

The Red Kettle will look great on the SSP. Would be great to see a pic when you finish reassembling the whole SSP.

did you pick that spot because it already had a chip? or did that happen when drilling?

That happened while drilling. I picked that spot because it is the side opposite of the lid holder
