Made my First Bacon! ....Finally!

I've always been scared to try making bacon but it looks like a worthwhile endeavor. I am interested in your more detailed story to learn how to do this.

Awesome looking stuff!!! Should I PM my address now or wait till after Christmas so you can send my some?

Threw cold cheese on there. I don't know why.

'cause it may taste even better?

Nice work Luke: hammy, bacony - I would be happy to have any. Speaking of which, if you can't jam that all in your freezer; well, you know...:)

Great job Luke - that is some high quality bacon - and good call on the happy wife choice...

Regards,

John

John,
My baby sister is out in San Diego with her Navy husband. When we go out to visit her I'll ship the bacon and meet at your house. You fire up the the hot coals and I'll bring the cold ones.

Steve,

It is absolutely worth it. I know some west coasters have trouble getting bellies, but if you can, its fun to prep and delicious to eat. Best of all, I've got a freezer full of bacon that I killed, butchered, and made.
