Looking for warm up basket and warming rack

I am doing a restoration on a weber genesis gold b for a friend and I am looking for a warm up basket and warming rack in good condition.

Ideally I am looking to trade but I am willing to buy too.

For a trade I can offer good condition stainless steel flavorizer bars (see photos). They are in very good condition, but for this restoration I am going all new flavorizer bars and racks so I do not have a use for them.

Looking for pickup in the Chicagoland area.

Brian, you are probably better off buying those two parts new. They are chrome plated and don't age very well. I know the flat warming rack is $19.95 at Ace hardware, I just bought a new one two weeks ago. The one that hangs in the lid I would just shop for the lowest price on line.

Okay well I am trying to keep costs down, as I am restoring this grill for a friend. So if anyone in Chicago land has these parts please feel free to reach out.

Brian, I would consider just leaving them out. I restore several Genesis grills every summer and never include the warming racks. Most of the grills that I get to restore no longer have them and if they do, they are always totally rusted out. IMO, they just get in the way of regular grilling and it seems most others have similar feelings as they either never replace them when they rust out or they simply just take them out and leave them out.
But, if your friend wants them, I get it.

In 20 + years I think I used the swinging basket less than 5 times. I guess it is good for baked potatoes.

I used the warming rack a little more often, but it usually lived under the grill collecting spider webs.

YMMV

I appreciate what everyone is saying. I too find that the warming rack gets in the way of normal grilling and generally I leave it out of my restored genesis. However, I have found it to be perfect for toasting buns and I could see it being useful in a few other situations. I agree that the swinging rack is pretty pointless and I usually forget mine is there.

I am simply trying to give my friend as many parts and options as possible so they can see what they like. Since I have a few spare parts in good reusable condition, I wanted to see if anyone wanted to trade them for a spare warming rack that they had lying around.

I have a brand new warming rack for a Genesis and will give it to you free. Just pay the shipping. PM me and we’ll arrange.
