Looking for side burner

I'm in the process of some restorations; i have a Platinum I 1200 and a Platinum I 2200 with a second Platinum I 2200 being purchased tomorrow, what i'd like to do is convert the 2200 into a 3200 with a side burner.

does anyone know where i could buy a new complete side burner that would have been used on the 3200???

The side burners are no longer available as new, as far as I can tell you can get the control panel and lower tray but no internal parts or the grates. Your best bet would be to pick up a 3000 and use the side burner off of it as it is the same as the 3200.
You could check with Weber but you would need a serial # off of a 3200 or 3000 as Weber won't sell you the gas parts unless they know you have the grill it goes on.

Check places like EReplacement parts or GrillParts I'm pretty sure I've seen them sell NOS (new old stock) or try Fleabay. You'd be amazed how many people take things apart and sell pieces rather than the whole thing.
