It's a 3000 but any X000 manifold (except the 4/5000 because of the flame check button). Also a Genesis 1 or 2 or 3View attachment 113877is this a weber 1000?. Thanks in advance. I'm looking for a manifold
Yes. I believe so.View attachment 113883
Would the manifold from this be compatible?
Yes, and I would just restore that one if the lid is in nice shape.View attachment 113883
Would the manifold from this be compatible?
They are both nice grills, I just have a soft spot for Platinum series lids and the shorter frame.Thats what im thinking steve...I woke up today with no plans at restoring another then .....well..ya know..lol
It's mostly the lid. Every Weber grill from that era came with a flip up table on the left side. Your green one is just missing it apparently from the picture you posted. Is there anything special about the platinum aside from the graphics and flip up table?
This manifold will work fine. However: I've seen some Genesis 1, 1000 grills will not have the tap for that side burner you have on the 3000 you showed the original photo to. So, if that were to be the case, still no worries. Simply take the valves off the LP grill and (be sure to use some yellow dope to seal the threads) install them on the current NG manifold. Pirate all the other hardware (tank hangar/scale, regulator, etc.) and grill away. Best of both worlds. Understand the side burner will be a bit "over powered" but it will not be "uncontrollable".View attachment 113883
Would the manifold from this be compatible?
Yes you certainly can. It's a bit "Rube Goldberg" but will work. If this manifold does not have the tap for the side burner the BEST solution is buy the grill, remove the valves from the manifold (they simply unscrew), remove the valves from the current NG manifold, get some PTFE type pipe dope/sealant. Put small dab on each set of valve's threads and install them in your current manifold. Pro quality and no Rube GoldbergView attachment 113888
So the platinum grill sold before I had a chance to buy it. But I found this one for $10. Am i ok just using a y-split hose off the regulator to hook up to side burner?
Many of the x000 manifolds have an 1/8" NPT plug in the manifold where the side burner can connect. So the platinum grill sold before I had a chance to buy it. But I found this one for $10. Am i ok just using a y-split hose off the regulator to hook up to side burner?
