Hey yall,

I was recently gifted a 1995 Genesis 1000 LP beauty; and while I love the price of free.99, I've got a NG line run to my porch already so naturally I'd like to use that. First off, and please correct me if I'm wrong I've tried to do my research, I just need to change the manifold/valves/hose going into the burner tubes to complete the NG conversion correct?

I've tried searching Locally (Houston, Tx) on Craigslist and OfferUp but I cannot find any donor grill nor can I find any online in stock with the correct part number. If anybody has any leads on the 1000 NG manifold and advice I'm all ears. Thanks yall I sure appreciate it.

Sean, a manifold swap is the way to go. Also, a donor grill is the best option but if that doesn't work, someone on here probably has a spare they could part with.
If you change the manifold and hose, as long as you have the correct NG pressure coming from the house, you are set. No need to mess with valves or orifices as they are included with the NG Manifold.

Also welcome to the forum. And you might want to consider posting this to the Gas grill forum to get a targeted audience.

If it works on propane, you might also consider saving the parts to keep that capability. You never know what the future may bring. I would also be a whole lot less worried about finding a new manifold if it worked on propane.

Bruce, thanks for the welcome and advice. I've got my eyes out for a donor grill but if anybody has a manifold they'd like to sell, let me know please. I've verified I have 7"WC gas pressure. I'll cross post this to the gas section, appreciate it!

Scott, yes it works wonderfully on propane which is why I'm not in a super rush to find a NG manifold. This is my first big boy grill and has been a great experience so far. Good idea on keeping the LP manifold incase of future needs.

Did you find one yet?
