Looking for confirmation on DigiQ - What is included in the box?

Does the DigiQ DX2 include a fan that will work on the 22" WSM or do I need to buy a fan separately?

Also, does anybody have experience with the included fan (assuming it has one) and think it's sufficient or is a larger, more powerful fan a better choice in cold conditions (Mid Atlantic states where it can get into the teens in the winter)?

If I recall, I think the fan and adapter are priced separately. The small fan works fine for me but I don't do high heat cooking.

The DX2 only comes with the Control Unit, a generic stand thing, probes, and manual. You do have to purchase the fan and the adaptor separately. I would highly recommend getting the 10CFM Viper Fan for a 22.5 WSM. It's only $15 more than the 4CFM unit and gives you plently of air flow to do the higher temp cooks for turkey, etc.

Why not contact them, (BBQ Guru), directly? They're good folks and very helpful. I understand you will need the fan and fan adapter in addition to the controller.

You don't have to purchase separately, you can purchase the kit and the 10cfm will be the fan size you'll want. I ordered mine here. Good luck!!
