Long time Weber owner but new to the smoking foods world…

Hi everyone-

I've been a Weber Silver B owner over 13 years and have had to replace grates and bars over the years and as a result, I swear by the quality of the grill to everyone I know. Recently I've been wanting to add more flavor to my grilling and saw that Weber use to make an integrated smoker for the Silver but stopped several years ago. The quest for an integrated smoker has now lead me to seriously consider the WSM and diving headlong into the world of smoking and better BBQ. Through all of my researching I found this site and now wish I knew about it long ago! Nonetheless, I'm glad I found this great resource and also think finding a used integrated smoker for my Silver B won't be so hard as a result.
 
Andy, welcome! This is the right place to be! I just recently picked up a Silver B and refurbed it, all I used for years was my Performer. I joined this group last April..... just be aware of how Weber Wacko this place can make you...... I now have 8 Webers in my collection..... carefull what you wish for!

Welcome Andy you found a home, for me I feel the WSM can grill and a lot of guys use it that way (see Dwain's Roadside Chix for example) and the OTG of Performer can smoke. But each one does a job better than the other and having both gives great flexibility. You will love your WSM when you get it.
