I guess it's personal preference. I had to cut 4 traces on my v4.1 board to do the "white wire mod" and that didn't bother me or set my progress back a bit.

Yep, I did the same thing and I was also the one who tracked down the LED1 problem. I'd wager that most people are looking for the most trouble free approach to this project and if that means waiting a few more days, then so be it. If you're feeling up to the task, then order the v4.1.3 board and do the necessary mod.
