long lasting burners

Well after just about 24 years my grill (the Genesis III) will require another new burner. I replaced one of the outside burners about 3 years ago with a used one I picked up, now that one and the other outside original burner have given it up. Center burner and crossover still solid though. I don't think anything new from Weber will hold up like this.
 
I hear what you're saying, my 18 year old genesis still has all three of it's original burners. Don't build them like that anymore.
 
A drill press and a ruler and marker would make simple work out of the holes. I just may try it for fun. However, not soon since my burners are just fine right now :)
