Hello Experts,

Does anyone have experience cooking London Broil on a WSM? Any suggestions for a home made rub?

Thanks in advance,
Peter

Peter, I really don't like London Broil. But maybe thats cause I haven't tasted yours. With any beef tho, I personally keep it pretty simple. S&P, Garlic. I really want the beef taste to come thru.

Oh, and WELCOME!!!!!!

Peter - there used to be a guy on this four named Larry Wolfe who posted some fantastic pics of his London Broil cooks. Looked delish. He used his Performer and, if I recall correctly, cooked the meat indirect to about 110 then finished direct over the coals. If you will search the grilling forum, you may find some of the pics and posts.

I thought London Broil was a way of cooking lean meats like flank steak. I cook these types of meat on the kettle over direct heat.

I just tried the Larry Wolfe method last weekend. After an overnight marinade, I smoked up to 100*, then on to a hot SJS up to 125*. After resting, it was a nice rare / Med rare. I'm not a huge LB fan, but I would definately do this again. It came out great.
