Lodge Griddle on the GA

I picked up this Lodge Griddle at WalMart to use on my Go Anywhere for our short trips we like to take. It just sits on top because it's about an inch too long. I mainly want to do breakfast on the flat side and searing and grilling on the ribbed side. The lid will set on it if I need to add any smoke. I was thinking about cutting it down, but think it is just too heavy that I wouldn't want to leave it in the GA to transport it. For now I will just plan on keeping it seperate. Besides I think the height is a perfect distance from the coals. I can't wait to start practicing a few different dishes on it.

interesting idea. but if you cut that down to fit it would most likely choke the coals as you would not have any air flow.

I thought the same thing before I bought it George. However, if you center it, it has a half inch to spare on the short side. That would be plenty of air flow along with the bottom vents. I really don't want to cut it though.
