Little Secret Cutting Board

I have a good friend of mine, like a brother of mine actually, that makes custom cabinetry for a living...he has a huge CNC wood milling flatbed machine...

I came into town one day and he had made this cutting board for me...at first I thought, "Hey that's really nice"...it's made out of bamboo...

and he told me not to do much cutting on it because it was bamboo and it's really too soft to be cutting on...it was more for looks than anything...

So, I thought what good is a cutting board you can't cut on...


THEN, he showed me this...I fell in love...

His and Hers...they are Springfield XD subcompacts in 9mm (wife) and 40S&W (mine)...they don't stay in there, it's more a conversation piece...my wife keeps hers in her purse and mine gets used as a truck gun, whichever vehicle we tend to drive it goes in the console...I carry a Kimber Ultra Raptor sub1911 45 ACP daily...

and yes we both have our CWPs...thanks for looking

one of my friends refers to composite frame pistols as 'combat tupperware' lol, nice spot. ...also much more interesting than my cutting board with liner compartments
