lid clips for grilling on WSM

I've tried search and cant find the post where a guy made some metal clips to hold the WSM lid on the bottom section when grilling.

I just did some steaks with grill on top of charcoal ring and it works great. But lid seemed kind of unstable and I didn't want to leave it.

I think you are talking about these. Rock's BBQ sells them. I ordered them and they work well.

Cool. I like El cheapo when it works--it's called good engineering. LOL.

did you just hammer some bends in a steel straight bracket from the HW store?
 
Chris, that's exactly what I did ( as you can see by the little crack in the steel ).
Later I realized that if you put the strip outside the leg you hardly have to bend it.
