Left Charcoal out in the rain

I left some charcoal out in the rain on Memorial Day. It was about 2/3 of a bag. The bag got pretty well soaked and it was also open at the top so the charcoal got wet as well.

It was a heavy downpour.

Can I dry this stuff out or is it beyond help? I have just left it sitting there in the garage with the top open letting it air out.

On the plus side, the chicken and grilled corn were awesome!!

Thanks in advance.

If it's lump I'd spread it out and let it dry, if it's briquettes I'd toss it!

Definitely lump will be fine once dried out. Briquettes I have no clue, don't really use them that much.

My bucket of leftover, partially burned briquets got wet out in the rain before. After drying out, they're still good for what I use them for-- starting MM cooks, and quick grilling sessions.

I have left my bag of briquets out in the rain before, and once they dried for a few days they still worked perfectly fine.

Spread 'em out on a paper bag in that hot Alabama sun for a day (monitor operation with a six pack) and they should be good to go!
