Damn, that's unfortunate. I had a couple of items that I always said I would get at some point but none of them are available now. Shoot.
 
Yeah, I was fortunate to purchase several items from KG before steel prices got crazy. I have the 22 SnS w/flip up door grate, the dual hinged 22 grate for charcoal baskets & two SS grates on my WSM 22. These grates will outlive their cookers & myself.
 
I agree, I was convinced here to cry once and enjoy it forever.....the grill should out live me...and I am not close to retiring yet.
I paid for and shipping and picked up the 22 for the performer with flip up door to fit slow n sear.......and an 18" for the travel Joe.
I was putting off buying the 24 or whatever size the E6 grate is for another time....as my bill for the goods plus shipping to CAN was around the $500 if I remember right...and that is even after contacting the owner to get a better shipping rate. Lucky I have 2 OEM cooking grates for the E6.....
 
Sad to see Mark retire, but I'm sure it's well-deserved!

I have Mark's grates in pretty much everything:

Our family's 18" kettle, our Go Anywhere, both 14.5" WSMs, and our WSK E6.

Mark even took the time to have me measure the WSM middle sections as he told me he has encountered some variation in the size of the middle sections during manufacturing, and he offered two different sizes for the 14.5 WSM top grate depending on the actual diameter of the middle sections.
