Kidney Bean Salad W/ Mayo

This is popular in the Midwest.

2 ( 16 ounce) cans red kidney beans drained & rinsed.
1/2 cup sweet onion minced.
1 cup celery, diced.
1/2 cup real mayonnaise.
2 T olive oil.
2 T red wine vinegar.
1 pinch white sugar.
A few twists of S & P.

Whisk mayo, vinegar, oil, sugar S & P in a bowl.
Stir in onions. celery and beans.
Chill for at least 4 hrs.

Variations: substitute different beans.
add a mashed hard boiled egg, add some fresh minced herbs, add diced tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers.
