I have been using my 22" Weber kettle 3 wheel with a Smoke-EZ attachment for smoking in addition to my 18.5" WSM. I like the Smoke-EZ, except the small coal ring @ 12". So I decided to make a 14" coal ring out of expanded metal, cost $9 for a 24"x 12" sheet. I cut the shet in 1/2 and the resulting ring, bolted with SS Weber bolts, is a little over 14" in circumfrence and 6" high. I don't yet have a water pan so I am using a 14" terra cota tray which is resting on four 4" screws into the walls of the Smoke-EZ. Seems like it should work well for a 22" smoker with 2 full cooking grate access.
